Quality Management is the main factor in a successful company. Quality Management in healthcare could mean the difference between life and death. There are many reasons why people study healthcare quality management. There are six dimensions of quality that people in healthcare should strive for they are, safety, timeliness and accessibility, effectiveness and appropriateness, patient-centered care, efficiency, and equity. For me, the top three reasons that people should study healthcare quality management are so they can learn how to be safe, have effective and appropriate care, and to have patient-centered care. Being able to study and learn how to be an effective manager or have quality management in your healthcare world is so important. In the healthcare industry, the patient should feel like they are the most important person in that room, they should also feel like they are getting the most effective and appropriate care they can receive. The job of a company is to make sure all their employees know how to be the best and do the best they can at their jobs. So administration needs to give training to their employees that best suits the area that the employees will be working in. For instance, if you were to start working as medical personnel but you have had the bare minimum training, it would not be fair to the other staff let alone the patients. As a healthcare manager, you have so many different roles in improving healthcare whether that means giving your staff advanced training or only hiring people who have the correct experience and background who do not need the advanced training. Quality managers make a huge impact on how the workplace is operated and it can be good or bad.
