Assignment:

I remember one of my friends in high school telling me he wanted to become a nurse, I couldn't tell if he was messing with me or being truthful but he was serious. I realize now that my implicit bias was suggesting that only women wanted to become nurses and I was wrong. This section has taught me that there is also a difference between generalizing and stereotyping. In today's culture, there are many that will stereotype others based on their bias but it isn't always wrong to generalize either. There has to be an understanding that some differences can occur between groups given certain data points.
