You are the Store Manager of a travel agency and have just hired a new travel consultant Peter, who's fresh out of college. Customers are praising his politeness and advise provided, however they're complaining about the lengthy process of finalizing their travel arrangement. Other travel consultants are also not happy about the time Peter's taking with each of the customers as that means more work for them. At the first glance Peter seems to be slow and inexperienced, but you want to make sure his inexperience is really what is causing the problem. After some investigation, you identify the real problem: Peter is actually really knowledgeable and is providing great customer service, however he's not accustomed to the use of the travel agency's booking software.

a. Explain the difference between decision making and problem solving.

b. As a manager, what steps did you take to identify the real problem?

c. After defining the real problem, what other steps do you need to take to solve the problem? Go through the steps providing specific actions that need to be taken to solve the problem.
