What is the difference between consent, compliance, and coercion? People are often willing to jump to the defense of accused sexual assault perpetrators, and dismiss the claims of victims when 92-98% of rape allegations are true. Discuss the reasons why some people may be willing to believe that a neighbor, co-worker, friend, family member, professional athlete or celebrity is NOT a rapist, but accuse a neighbor, co-worker, friend, family member, or celebrity of LYING about being raped. Why would people prefer to dismiss the claims of rape victims and defend rapists?
