There is a sample of 25 boys and a sample of 40 girls. Ten of the boys have read Novel X, and ten of the girls have read Novel X. Use a z-test to see if the proportion of boys who read the novel is different from the proportion of girls who read the novel. You need to calculate the test-statistic, state the critical value, come to a conclusion about the null hypothesis, and state what this means concerning the difference between boys and girls with regard to Novel X. Let it be a two-tailed test where α = .05. You need to explain all your work, numerically where necessary. (This doesn't mean you have to type out exact formulas, but you need to numerically explain all the steps.
