Picasso, 1910: Analytical Cubism Picasso, 1912: Synthetic Cubism Working together, Picasso and Braque invented Analytical Cubism, arguably the most important aesthetic advancement since the development of linear perspective.

In 1912, Picasso and Braque modified Analytical Cubism to create a style called Synthetic Cubism.
