For instance, a right to Internet access? Using the two Shipbreakers videos in this module, make a list of universal, inalienable rights we all should share in the workplace. Do your lists differ? Should they?

2. Does the outsourcing of jobs empower poorer nations or exploit them?

3. What is the difference between a minimum and living wage? What do we have in the United States? Who has an example of a living wage?

4. Returning to the Shipbreakers content, do these people have the choice to work in the shipyards? Or rather, do they have the freedom to leave given the logistical constraints of their lives? What does this mean regarding the responsibilities of business owners to employees with limited options for alternative employment? In what circumstances do you really have the choice to leave a job? In what circumstances might you not have the choice to leave a job?

5. Please watch the piece on Indian Women and Surrogacy. Should women be allowed to contract out their bodies to host other women's children? There are natural analogies between surrogacy and prostitution, is the clinic in the piece an ethical business? Is selling people ethical? Do the women in this circumstance have a choice? In other words, if you are in poverty and are allowed to earn a wage that you could never earn otherwise, do you have a choice to decline?
