Consider the following application description for a publishing firm, and translate all of the information as precisely as possible into an ER diagram. Make sure that your diagram is unambiguous; e.g., that the TA can tell the difference between a double line and a single line. Clearly explain which (if any) information cannot be represented in the diagram. If you need to make any assumptions, state them clearly.
A publisher publishes journals that contain scientific articles. A journal has a name, an ISBN number, title, publication-frequency, and subscription-price. An issue of a journal contains one or more articles. An article appears in exactly one issue. A journal issue has a publication-date, and in any given calendar year there can be at most n issues, where n is the corresponding publication-frequency of the journal. Each article has a unique doi-identifier, a title, a page range, and one or more authors, exactly one of whom is designated as the contact author with a contact email address. An author has a name, and a unique author-id. Every journal has an editor-in-chief, who has a name, a professional affiliation (e.g., their employer), and an email address.
