Students will form discussion groups (3-5 students in a group). Each group will be given 30 minutes to discuss the activity. Each student will identify a place he/she has visited in the past (can be a country, province, or city). Once the student has completed their lists, have each student discuss with their group the following questions:

  • What did it feel like to be in a community that was different from yours?
  • What learning experience did you enjoy the most from the visitation? Why?
  • What is something different when compared to your own community?
  • What is something similar when compared to your own community?
  • Did you interact with the locals? If yes, describe the experience.
