Excursion: The Martyrs' Monument in Fort Greene Park: walk out the front door (Livingston Street), turn left and then left again, cross Fulton and curve right toward the big artery called Flatbush Avenue Extension. You are headed to Fort Greene Park, entrance is on the left just past the hospital. Enter the Park and head uphill: at the top you'll see the obelisk to the right, and can explore the entire site.
