Counselor- Hi Daria. Welcome to the school counselor's office. Your teacher told me she was a little concerned about some things you shared with her and noticed. She thought it might help if you came to talk to me. I want you to know that this is a safe space and whatever we talk about will only be between us two unless it involves hurting someone or yourself.

Daria- I'm just going through a lot. My mom and dad used to be together but they were not together anymore. They broke up and my mom told me they would get back together and be a family again. Two years ago my dad got married to somebody else. He's never asked my mom to marry him ever, but he and Jackie just got married out of nowhere. He didn't know Jackie that long and then he married her. Jackie has a daughter and he helps out to take care of her daughter every day. Everything is messed up. I live everywhere. My mom works at night so I live with my grandparents. They are old so they don't pay me any attention or don't talk to me at all. My mom only talks to me when I tell her something about what my dad or Jackie did to me other than that if I don't say anything she doesn't talk to me. I feel bad because I like Jackie she is fun and nice to me. If my mom finds out that I'm having fun over there she might get sad or upset so sometimes I act mean to my dad so that he won't think he's winning. I tell him I hate going over there or staying in my room and not talking to anybody. It's kind of like a competition. My dad has Jackie and her daughter. So I need to make sure my mom wins since she's alone, but I really like Jackie. I hate being stuck in the middle. Sometimes I don't even sleep sometimes because I'm worried, sad, or mad. Sometimes I wet the bed at night and I'm way too old to be doing that. I don't know what everybody wants from me. I wish I wasn't here anymore. Nobody pays me any attention. I wonder what would happened if I just blew my brains out and maybe somebody would understand how Daria feels. Nobody cares about how Daria feels. My whole life sucks. I don't want to live anymore. I think it would be easier if I just died. I want to die and then all this would be over.
