Use (Student-Generated Sample Agarose gels to answer below questions)

For each Student-Generated Sample Agarose gels state;

a)Whether the pAMP control samples 'work'

b) STATE HOW YOU KNOW THIS AND USE ACTUAL BASEPAIRS TO INDICATE IT

c )Were the students able to successfully load DNA into the pAMP+ and the pAMP- lanes?

d )Did the digest of the pAMP control 'work'

e) Whether the students who generated each image successfully isolated any plasmid DNA in their mini prep samples

f) How do you know it's plasmid DNA and not lipids, or genomic DNA, or RNA?

g )IF plasmid DNA is present in the mini-prep lanes, state whether each image represents a miniprep digest that is complete, incomplete (partial digest), did not cut, or inconclusive.

(Also, if plasmid DNA is present in the miniprep lanes, did the digested miniprep sample result in the correct number of DNA fragments and did the digest result the correct (expected) sizes (in basepairs) for each of those fragments? )

h) STATE HOW YOU KNOW THIS AND USE ACTUAL BASEPAIRS TO INDICATE IT

i) Specifically, did it result in the correct number of fragments and were the fragment sizes also correct?
