Mr. John, 58 is married and has two daughters who go to the nearby college. He is hospitalized for uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, and acute kidney failure. His kids' friend's mother, Brenda, works in the local hospital where Mr. John is admitted. The charge nurse in the unit is a friend of Brenda's. Upon Brenda's request, the charge nurse assigned Brenda to take care of Mr. John. Brenda is his nurse for the entire weekend. She starts to share his condition with Mr. John's family members and her children. Mr. John's wife requested Brenda to provide her with a printout of her husband's laboratory values and other medical information. Brenda did as requested.
