The topic is Health Care Quality. Examples of topics include: Patient safety, patient falls, nurse job satisfaction, patient satisfaction with pain management, hospital-acquired pressure ulcers, readmission rates, hospital acquired infections (HAIs) - CLABSI (central line associated bloodstream infection), CAUTI (catheter associated urinary tract infections), SSI (surgical site infections), VAP (ventilator-associated pneumonia), staffing mix (ratio of RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed staff), patient satisfaction with nursing care. Feel free to choose other relevant topics other than those provided above.
1st slide - Include topic and your name
2-3 slides - Explain topic choice and why it is relevant to quality care
2-3 slides - What measures can health care institutions put in place to improve this quality issue
1-2 slides - How does this topic affect nursing care?
Last slide - Include the following:
1) Describe study design of article (ex. meta-analysis, systematic review, randomized control study, cohort study, etc.)
2) Did the article describe how the research was conducted? (Did the article explain who, what, when, where and how the research was conducted?)
3) Did the article explain the research findings?
4) Did the article include suggestions for further research?
5) Was the article peer-reviewed?
