The headaches are consistent and occurred twice every month for the past three months. The onset of the headaches is usually sudden, often occurring without any identifiable trigger. The patient describes the headaches as throbbing, 9 out of 10 on a pain scale of 1-10. Light and sound sensitivity are often accompanied by pain. The patient reported that pain is typically bilateral, affecting both sides of the head, but sometimes it is more pronounced on one side. The duration of each headache episode varies but can last up to 72 hours if not treated. The patient reported that the pain was debilitating, frequently interfering with her daily activities. Also, the patient denies identifying any relieving or exacerbating factors. According to the patient, she has no history of head trauma or injury. She denies any associated symptoms such as fever, neck stiffness, or vision changes. The patient reports taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain relief, as well as resting in a dark, quiet.
