He denies all of the following: fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, back pain, abdominal pain, or hematuria. On physical examination, he is noted to be afebrile with a normal blood pressure and pulse. There is no costovertebral angle tenderness. His abdomen is soft and non-tender in response to palpation.
