Mrs jessica downs is 55 years old and was diagnosed with lyme disease. yesterday she was discharged from the hospital, where she was receiving antibiotics intravenously through a PICC placed in her upper left arm. At home, she will have to self-administer IV antibiotics. You have been asked to provide home healthcare to make sure that Mrs. Downs is not having problems performing antibiotics infusions. You also have to assess her symptoms and screen for new problems. Your assessment includes measuring Mrs. Downs's blood pressure. Assessing blood pressure should usually take five to seven minutes.
