Developmental Psychology Literature Review Topic: "The Effects of Social Media on Adolescents" 

Develop an outline for your literature review topic.  Below is an example of the format

 "The Effects of Social Media on Adolescents" 

• Introduction: 
  • Clearly define what you are presenting
  • What are you seeking to address?
  • Develop a research question and a hypothesis (what do you suggest the research will say about your chosen topic?)
• Body of paper:
  • Summarize the highlights of your research. What were the main points discussed? Briefly summarize findings again to highlight the main discoveries. Explain what you learned (Was your hypothesis correct or incorrect?) and how this info will help you personally/professionally.
• Discuss research findings. 
  • Compare and contrast findings. Discuss limitations to findings and highlight strengths of studies. Does the research all tend to say the same thing? Are there major differences?  Discuss overarching themes and distinctions. Tie main points together so that flow is logical.
• Conclusion: 
  • Summarize the highlights of your research. What were the main points discussed? Briefly summarize findings again to highlight the main discoveries. Explain what you learned (Was your hypothesis correct or incorrect?) and how this info will help you personally/professionally.
