Question

In recent years, there has been a surge in the development of intelligent robotic systems aimed at enhancing domestic and office cleanliness. Traditional cleaning methods are not only labor-intensive but also time-consuming, leading to inefficiencies in environments where cleanliness and time management are paramount. According to [1], the market for household robots is expected to grow significantly, driven by the increasing demand for automation in housekeeping tasks. However, current robotic solutions often lack the precision needed for handling small and delicate tasks around tabletop surfaces, as identified in [2]. These shortcomings include inadequate edge detection, limited waste storage, and insufficient integration for multitasking environments. To address these challenges, we propose a robotic solution specifically designed for tabletop environments. Our system consists of three interconnected devices: the TableTop AutoVacuum, capable of precise edge detection and efficient waste collection; the TableTop AutoScrubber, engineered to handle common spills with dedicated water handling capabilities; and the TableTop AutoHub, which acts as a central command unit incorporating automated cleaning and charging station. This integrated solution aims to streamline cleaning processes, making them more effective and less intrusive in small-scale settings. This would help Households of all types, with those who have busy schedules and struggle.
