CAPSTONE PROJECT
Study and Resource Requirements
Students are expected to attend classes with the weekly worksheets and subject support material provided in Moodle. Students should read this material before coming to class to improve their ability to participate in the weekly activities.
Students will require access to the internet and their KOI email and should have basic skills in word processing software such as MS Word, spreadsheet software such as MS Excel and visual presentation software such as MS PowerPoint.

Details of Each Assessment Item
The assessments for this subject are described below. The description includes the type of assessment, its purpose, weighting, due date and submission requirements, the topic of the assessment, details of the task and detailed marking criteria, including a marking rubric for essays, reports and presentations.

KOI expects students to submit their own work in both assignments and exams, or the work of their group in the case of group assignments. Material in assignments which comes from the work of others must be appropriately acknowledged.
Assessment 1
Assessment type: Implementation plan (500 words each student) and prototype - group assessment
Purpose: This assessment allows students to demonstrate their skills in developing an implementation plan and prototype for a real-world project. This assessment contributes to learning outcomes a and b.
Assessment 2
Purpose: This assessment requires students to provide a report discussing the implementation details and evaluation strategies for their Capstone Project and give a demonstration of their project.
Task Details:
The report must include:
Project implementation details: systematic implementation details and steps of the project
Evaluation strategy and plan: discussion of the strategy undertaken to evaluate the project
Evaluation results: analysis and discussion of the results of project testing
Ethical issues: identify and discuss ethical issues related to technology or methods used for implementation
Demonstration: The groups will demonstrate their project in terms of functionality, features and usability.
Assessment 3
Assessment type: Project presentation - group and individual assessment
Purpose: This assessment requires students to present their work for the capstone project. This assessment contributes to learning outcomes a, b, c, d and e.
