Purpose: This assignment aims to discover the values and beliefs embedded in the mission/vision/philosophy statements. The mission/vision/philosophy statements of the nursing program and its parent organization outline the values, ethics, and beliefs of its educators, administrators, and stakeholders and often include their motivation for developing the nursing program. These statements often provide an overall perspective regarding their beliefs about education, practice, and patient care ethics. These statements identify the beliefs and theories that shape and provide a foundational structure to the nursing program.

Instructions: Please work independently to review the mission/vision/philosophy statement of two different schools of nursing (SON) and their parent organizations and provide a written comparison to Oklahoma City University(OCU) and Kramer School of Nursing( KSN) for a total of 3 comparisons. Next, the student should identify 3 to 4 significant differences in the mission/vision/philosophy statement between the chosen school of nursing, parent organizations, and KSN. Lastly, you develop a mission/vision/philosophy statement for your ideal school of nursing.
