Assignment -

Write a report outlining the business case for developing data analytics capabilities in an organisation. This should be in the form of a consultancy report for mangers with no knowledge of the topic who are faced with the challenge of designing a data analytics strategy in their firm.

The assignment should begin with an Executive Summary that clearly summarises the main objectives and insights of the report.

Section A of your report should deal (at least) with the following issues (max of 3000 Words):

What is data analytics?
Provide an overview of the main tools and techniques used in Data Analytics.
Opportunities that growth in data and data analytics techniques provide organisations.
Typical challenges facing organisations/managers trying to build a data analytics strategy.

In Section B select an industry. Outline what kind of analytics techniques/tools are used in that industry and for what type of business applications (Max 500 words).

In Section C select one company in the industry described in Section B you would like to provide recommendations for and describe how they can use data analytics to improve business performance. Hint: be specific (Max 500 words).
