Developing Contracts in Procurement and Supply

Select a standard set of Khalifa University terms and conditions which would support furniture purchase.
• Extract key clauses from the standard terms and condition to review the following (examples) :
- Quality assurance/checking of product, linked to test standards/certifications
- Timeliness of deliveries or right to cancel / terminate for late delivery
- Cost certainty from supplier e.g. fixed pricing, treatment of inflation etc
- Ethical risks including anti-bribery and corruption clauses, conflicts of interest, ethics reporting

Knowledge and Approach
• Discuss and define the ‘battle of the forms' how you can ensure that agreements are placed wherever possible under Khalifa University terms and conditions.
• Ensure you cover off how performance is monitored (eg through example KPIs, regular meetings with suppliers etc) and relevant models to support your answer. Also look at risk assessment tools (ie probability versus impact).

Research
