The triad exercise allows you to experiment with the therapies you have been introduced to in your chapter readings and associated videos.

Adlerian perspective, existential perspective, and person-centered perspective. (One member will experiment with Adlerian, one with existential, and one with person-centered.) Work on establishing rapport and developing a positive working relationship. Rotate being the counselor, client, and observer. Be sure to provide one another with constructive feedback. Each student should spend 30-40 minutes experimenting as the counselor and receiving feedback. The following is a guide for structuring your session:

Welcome, introduction, and explanation of the informed consent (5-10 minutes)
Practicing counseling skills and techniques (15 minutes)
Reflection and feedback (10-15 minutes)
