You have been asked to develop a database utilizing only the written problem description given by the client. In reviewing the description, you may determine that information may be missing or that not all information described requires be storing or representing in database. One skill of designer is finding what needs to be represented within the database model and what does not need to be included.
Your task is to develop-the entity-relationship diagram for conceptual design of the FastCabs company database. The description of FastCabs is given below.
Instructions:
1) The diagram should be prepared utilizing a UML class diagram. The use of the Visio is improved however any drawing program which may generate the required diagram is allowed.
2) The diagram should consist of the following:
a) Entities with appropriate names.
b) Attributes for entities along with the primary key of each entity identified.
Implement that entity as a database table with two subtypes, Games and Movie.
Create an entity-relationship diagram and design accompanying table layout using sound relational modeling practices and concepts.
The database application project (DAP) for this course consists of the creation of a fully functional Microsoft Access database application for a real client.
