1.You have been referred four clients who are physically aggressive toward their siblings and engage in frequent tantrums. Devon (4 y/o, Caucasian, female), Amelia (3 y/o, Caucasian, female), Hunter (6 y/o, African American male), and Camrin (5 y/o, African American female) are all typically developing children with age appropriate receptive and expressive language skills. Their pediatricians suggested behavioral interventions. The results of a functional analysis for each of the clients indicated that the problem behaviors are likely to be maintained by attention.
