OBJECTIVE - This assignment is designed to provide students with practical experience in applying project management concepts. Specifically, the objectives of this assignment are:

To learn fundamental skills in the use of project management software - in this case, Microsoft Project.
To produce key elements of a project management plan, including the adjustment of a project proposal to fit within a schedule.

Question 1 -

The following table shows list of activities for construction of a Repair Garage (Workshop) building. The project starts on 1 February 2015 with 6 days a week working time with Sunday holiday. Ignore any other holidays.

Developed a network schedule using Microsoft Project software. Your schedule must show all important information with your own design WBS. You must organised according to WBS and using activity ID.

Question 2 -

Given list of activities with other relevant information for a project. This Project started on 1 Feb 16 with 6 days except Sunday. Develop the 'original' schedule. You are required:

Conclusion and remarks of project performance. 7. Late submission subjected for deduction of marks: 1 mark each day late from your group mark.

All should be translated in Microsoft project, SUBMISSION INFORMATION - Print out the report by using Arial font style and size of 12 by using Microsoft Word. SPECIFIC INFORMATION - You are expected to work through this assignment in your own time, using either the PC computing laboratories or your home computer. If you have questions or problems with the Microsoft Project software or in completing the assignment, you should ask the tutor for assistance in the allocated lab times.

Specifically define the tasks in the project, making you think more carefully about project details. Track progress and detect potential difficulties once the project is underway. Replace projected dates for the scheduled tasks with actual dates, as tasks are being performed. Forecast potential delays (if any) so that you can take any required corrective measures.
