Assignment: Literature Review
Details of task:
In the 1960's, John F. Kennedy, former President of the USA, in a famous speech once proclaimed "Change is the law of life and those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future". At a similar time, the famous American physician and psychoanalyst, Dr John C. Lilly, is reported as saying" Our only security is our ability to change". Similarly, the American inventor and wealthy industrialist, Charles Kettering said as early as the 1930's: "The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has broughtprogress".
Every form of organisation, public or private, large or small, global or local, in almost every industry is now being tested by the issue of ‘continuous change' and ‘how can we deal with it'.
Drawing on the literature you have reviewed; provide a discussion and conclusion as to how an organisation of your choice can develop strategies to help it cope with this ‘uncertain future'.
Drawing on the available literature, provide a discussion and conclusion as to why such strategies fail and what you would recommend for an organisation who is pursuing growth through these forms of diversification so their outcomes could be improved.
This is an academic research essay, so only the textbook and then academic journal articles (12-15) should be the resources used.
Please do not use any other textbooks than Robbins et al. or material sourced directly from the web (such as Wikipedia, google, etc). It is important that you use academic literature, that is scholarly peer reviewed articles as distinct from journalistic and industry accounts. You may still use this 'grey literature', but only as support or examples and these sources are not counted towards your references (although they must be correctly cited in both your work and your reference list).
Word limit: 2000 words.

Determine the vertical distance
: The bucket has a weight of 80 lb and is being hoisted using three springs, each having an unstretched length of 0 = 1.5 ft and stiffness of K=50 lb/. Determine the vertical distance d from the rim to point A for equilibrium.

Allowable distance required for equilibrium
: If the ring remains in the horizontal plane and the tension in each cable is not allowed to exceed 1 KN, determine the smallest allowable distance required for equilibrium.
