Task 1 - Develop Resource Requirement Proposals

You are required to develop proposals for resource requirements applicable to your Operational Plan for one (1) human resource and three (3) significant physical resources.

Proposals for use of resources should focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Any proposal should meet any legal requirements in relation to the operations of the organisation. The proposal must be detailed and provide information for Management and stakeholders to query and challenge the options presented.

The following is a general guideline for your written proposal:

  • Title for the request
  • Purpose of the request
  • Introduction and background information - including any issues and problems, information sources and any specialist advice sought (if required)
  • Reason for the request - seeking funds to acquire resources to perform certain activities
  • Objectives to be achieved and how they relate to the organisation's objectives
  • Nature of the resources required, where relevant, timing and estimated costs
  • Any risks to the organisation in using the resources and proposed solutions
  • Proposed outcome of the request for resources - benefits
  • Possible consequences if the request is not granted
  • Options available to acquire resources and methods of acquisition
  • Conclusion - reiteration of the importance of the request including key points that are likely to influence the decision makers
  • Relevant supporting information from the research conducted in Part 1 into resource requirements.
  • Specifically you must include Part 1, Task 4, 4.2 your consultation/communication plan that you will utilise to keep stakeholders and workplace representatives informed of developments and provide planning progress updates.

4.2 Develop a consultation/communication plan that you will utilise to keep stakeholders and workplace representatives informed of developments and provide planning progress updates.

The communication plan must include:

  • Name of the communication i.e. project team meeting, stakeholder update, board meeting.
  • Define the information/interaction i.e. what are you presenting, seeking approval, exchange of information, questioning, problem solving
  • Frequency of communication and consultation i.e. how often will it happen, daily, monthly, weekly, monthly, quarterly
  • Format or channel of communication i.e. meeting, email, newsletter, phone call, one on one.
  • Audience i.e. project team, stakeholders including external, clients, workers, staff, colleagues
  • Outcome/Achievements i.e. agreements, actions arising, directions and decisions

We call this team the Renovation Project Team.

Select a team leader for each division. (eg builder teams, staff training and management, supplier selection and management, accounting teams).

The goal is to share information and manage money necessary for store expansion construction and renovation.

We hold meetings every Monday at 10am for about an hour.

All meetings are conducted via online video call and the program used is Microsoft Team.

If there are any information delivery, details confirmed during the meeting, or changes outside of meeting hours, it should be delivered by e-mail.

It allows external stakeholders to quickly exchange information by phone and email

All information will be recorded and results and performance will be communicated via e-mail, video conferencing and phone calls. In the event of a problem in the middle, urgent matters can be quickly resolved over the phone.
