TITLE: CASE STUDY FOR NPD SUPPLY CHAIN

YOUR ROLE: Put together a NPD supply chain plan for the pilot in Dallas

TO SUPPORT YOUR PREPARATION FOR A NPD SUPPLY CHAIN PLAN:

Use the NPD Supply chain framework and methodology (as per Figure 2).

Put together four slides, one for each dimension: Plan - Source - Make - Deliver.

In every slide, for each dimension of the NPD Supply Chain framework and methodology

• select 1-2 activities (eg: Strategic Sourcing, Logistics strategy)
• clarify your supply chain plan (eg: regional sourcing of D-parts, weekly replenishment of forecastable components, Kanban stock / supermarket with preferred vendors, late customization, etc...) and other examples of supply chain plan (in Figure 5) with potentially a different plan tailored by classification of parts (Figure 4)
• supported by detailed actions and stakeholder

One slide with the metrics and KPI's you will set up to track progresses and achievements.

Explain which internal and external stakeholders, departments and/or functions you will engage and How Clarify what resources you need from them (supply of money, materials, staff, any other assets, etc) and how you will convince them to engage.

Illustrate:

• what project management and review mechanism you will set with your selected stakeholders.
• how you balance cost, speed, capability and performance between global and regional/local Vendors.
• how you will ensure lessons learned can be utilized effectively before deployment to the next set of fulfillment centers worldwide.

Please prepare a maximum of six slides for report back.

Instructions: You will develop a 6-slide (maximum) presentation using the case study. You will have 60 minutes to explain to Leadership how you'd redesign toward the 'attached' network with standard supply chain tools, such as, BCC Sourcing for Runners, PFEP / Inventory, Supermarket, D-Part Localization, Delivery Frequencies, Logistics Consolidation, etc. make a presentation, via Webex to the leadership team.

Note - You need to use Microsoft PowerPoint software for this. 6 PROFESSIONAL Slides needed. 6 slides does not include Introduction and Thank you slide. All 6 slides should have good content, proper formatting and professional look.
