Now that we have laid out broadly some of the types and history of White Collar Crime, we must now explore some of the theories that attempt to explain it with the field of criminology. These questions will require you to use Chapters 3 in T3 & 8 in T1. You will also respond to at least two class mates with ways (2) they can improve their theory in #6. 

1. T3 focuses mainly on the opportunity perspective as its main theoretical contribution, but in chapter 4 they lay out three major approaches to considering this crime type. Using your own words, summarize the basic arguments and initial findings of these theoretical approaches. For each, briefly discuss the limit of the approach.
2. In T1 Chapter 8, they approach WCC from bio, pscyho, and socio perspectives, provide an example of each as it concerns the impetus for becoming a WCC.
3. Compare social process theories and social learning theories concerning WCC. What are the different assumptions of these theories?
4. What are tactics WCC may use to neutralize or rationalize in order to commit a WCC? provide at least two examples/scenarios (in total) that illustrate this.
5. What would Conflict Theory say about the nature of society that is different than what structural theories argue leads to WCC? Do you agree? why or why not? What would be at least 1 change structural theories would recommend to society and what is 1 change conflict theories would recommend. Be sure to justify your responses.
6. Develop your own integrated theory of crime based on your readings in T1 and T3. Be sure to clearly define your theory and what components make it integrated. What inspired your theory? What other theories did you pull from? What are the strengths of your new theory. Be sure to give your theory and interesting name.
