Develop an operational plan for an organization of your choice.
Your operational plan should include the following components:
1. Introduction to your project or section role
2. A review of how your operational plan links to your organization's strategic plan
3. Provide detailed SMART objectives and Key Performance Indicators to be achieved by your operational plan
4. Prepare a detailed Work Breakdown Structure which includes the following elements:
a. Tasks, activities, action items
b. Due dates with a process of prioritising tasks and activities
c. Name of persons responsible for each task
5. A contingency plan identifying possible issues and a plan B
6. A communication and consultation that shows the process you would take to ensure all staff are advised of their responsibilities. Discuss also how you will deal with staff resistance and non-compliance.
7. A description of the physical and human resources required and a management plan that will ensure effective use of resources.
a. In addition, provide also a resource proposal for one resource you need to acquire.
b. In addition, provide a Human Resource Plan that shows the strategies to recruit and induct new staff for the specific tasks in the Operational plan (permanent or temporary staff)
8. A description of how you will monitor the progress of the operational plan.
a. In addition, discuss how you will measure actual versus planned performance for budget and people performance
b. In addition, discuss suggestions for corrective action for both budget and people performance and how you will document new procedures for next time.
