Consider there are three distribution centres located in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. The amount of goods in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide distribution centres is 3200, 3400 and 4100, respectively. The goods should be delivered to Perth, Brisbane and Darwin. Perth, Brisbane and Darwin need 3900, 2700 and 2900 units of goods, respectively. The transportation cost for delivering goods from different distribution centres to different cities depends on a wide range of factors. The transportation cost pertaining to delivery of one unit of goods from different distribution centres to different cities is presented in the below table. We want to minimise transportation cost.
