The purpose of this assignment is to develop some skill set you always wanted to learn. This means it can be developing skills with project management, learning to write a proposal or develop a IT strategic plan, experience taking a MOOC course, and so forth. This assignment addresses SLO 3 communications and 5 professional development)
Objectives (CO A, C, F):
1. Plan a project using some of the skills you are learning in project management.
2. Develop a product as a result of your planning.
3. Present your project to the class.
4. Convey what you learned from the project and how you would alter it if you had to do it again.
Guidelines:
1. Select a project and obtain approval from me. Make sure it is something that you can reasonably complete by Mar 14th and 16th.
2. Make appropriate adjustments to the Project Management Life Cycle - initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing as appropriate for this project.
3. Develop the project which includes a proposal/planning document, activities to implement the project, and methods for evaluating it.
4. Present the project to the class including what you learned from it.
Grading:
This project is worth 100 points and 20% of your grade. See rubric at the end of this document.
