STAGE 1 - Research and Development
Research and consult with stake holders to put in place a strategy for minimising resource use, reducing toxic material and hazardous chemical use, and using life cycle management approaches that are appropriate to the Lonsdale Institute workplace.
Include the following in your report on this stage:
(A) Policy scope (Describe the current workplace and the likely problems you will face)
(B) List of sources of information. (Where did you find the information? Is it reliable?)
(C) Consultation with stakeholders. (Who did you speak to? Political parties? Sustainability professionals? What questions did you ask?)
(D) Policy recommendation (What do you intend to do?)
(E) Implementation plans (How will you do it?)
STAGE 2 - Implementation
Create a presentation to promote the proposed sustainability strategy that includes information on the following:
(A) Benefits of the programme including expected outcomes
(B) Activities to be undertaken
(C) Roles and responsibilities (Who will be responsible. An Action plan may help to delegate tasks)
(D) Associated procedures including recording systems
(E) Continuous improvement plans and inclusions
STAGE 3 - Evaluation and Review
Look to the future. Review the sustainability policy and procedures in the workplace and provide a formal report on the following:
(A) Documented outcomes (How successful was each strategy?)
(B) Summary evaluation of the areas of achievement and non achievement
(C) Continuous improvement report based on trends identified (What new innovations can we consider?)
(D) Suggestions for improvements and modifications as required (What can be done better?)
