Homework: Project Schedule Outline
Purpose
The purpose of this Individual Homework is to become familiar with MS Project and to use this software to develop an initial project outline for your group project using the WBS developed in your group homework. Note that the Week 5 Overview has links to videos that are useful for this homework.
Background
The project's WBS, at the work package level, becomes the basis for identifying and defining the project activities needed to complete the work of the project, whether you have broken down the work of the project by phase or deliverable. These activities are then used in the process of estimating duration and resources, and ultimately the cost of the activities. The project outline is further elaborated as new information is considered in the project planning.
Homework Prompt
Using MS Project and the information resulting from the WBS of the group project, create a new project file and enter the WBS information (WBS code and title of project phase, deliverable, work package) through the work package level.
Create a new project in MS Project.
Use the WBS information from the group project.
What It Is/What It Does
The purpose of a Statement of Work (SOW) is to establish a written contract for work to be performed, i.e., when, and how. Use it to start a project effort or start a subsequent phase of a project. A project can have one or more SOWs.
The amount of work agreed to in a SOW should be the amount of work you can clearly describe. If the customer's request is broad, complex, multi-organizational, or very large, use one SOW to cover early requirements gathering and analysis. Subsequent SOWs can cover design, development, and implementation. You can use multiple SOWs for requests that spawn multiple projects. In this case, use one SOW for project investigation, then one SOW for each project that follows.

After that, we worked with the local authorities and landscape architects to come up with a detailed plan of action. Next, we acquired the appropriate funding and resources for the project. Then, we found the skilled contractors needed to implement the beautification of the park. This project will bring in more opportunities for the community and draw in more people for the town. The current upkeep to the parkis carried out by a small group of maintenance staff. These tasks include mowing, weeding, and collecting trash.
