Assignment 2: Reading Comprehension Research Paper

Details:

In a 1,000-1,250-word research paper, address the following:

1. Based on current research, summarize three reading areas that are critical to building a young student's capacity to comprehend what he or she reads. Use the academic language associated with each theory.

2. Select three of the five recommendations from the practice guide that increase reading comprehension for young readers. Analyze these recommendations in connection with the research you gathered for #1.

3. Based on your research and analysis, describe the practices that you would incorporate into your teaching practices. Defend your choices.

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
