Question: You have just concluded a meeting with the CEO who has advised you of the hotel's purchase of anothervenue. The venue previously operatedas a hotel and was recently renovated but the owners were forced to sell due to insufficient funds.

As this venue is not currently open for business, you have been asked to develop and manage the operational planning processes which will be implemented. There are some minor renovations whichthe CEO is managing, costinga total of $600,000. It is expected to take six weeks to complete these renovations and the CEO has requested that you provide the draft Operational Plan within one month, which will then be reviewed and approved by the Board.

The CEO will forward all information regarding the venue to assist you with the development of the plan. He has requestedthat you includethe budgets for the first six months of operations in your plan.

The new venue is CityHotel and it consists of:

Two main bar areas,

A bistro with full commercial kitchen facilities

A beer garden with outdoor stage facilities.
