Initiating a grassroots advocacy effort is sometimes the easiest part of recruiting volunteers. Keeping the momentum going can be more challenging. The purpose of this activity is to develop a volunteer recruitment campaign to engage in ongoing support for building a "Park in the Sky," which is introduced in the video located in the Resources.

For this discussion activity, review the video, and think about how you can recruit volunteers to maintain and advocate for this project. Your first task is to search for library articles that discuss the factors that are essential to recruiting volunteers to work with NPOs.
