Task To develop an in-house program package to address the training and/or development need that was identified from the Needs Analysis in Assessment. You are developing an entire program package, including all resources that would be needed to operate, assess and evaluate the training program. All resources means those that the trainer would use, and those that the trainees would see/use/receive. Hence, you need to be realistic about the scope of the project that you select, and keep this to a manageable level. Whilst it is hypothetically assumed that you will be training the program which you develop, the program package needs to be finished to a level where any trainer could train the program using the package that you have developed. The training and development need can be any identified need that might support a group of employees or members of an organisation/association relevant to your current / past employment, or your chosen future career area. Your program package (assessment submission) needs to include the following sections: Organisation · description of the organisation that has the need Staff Cohort · overview of the particular cohort of staff who have the need Human Resource Development Need · outline of the human resource development need Program Objectives · identification of the human resource development program objectives (just 2-3 objectives are sufficient) Program Schedule · table of how long the actual program takes to complete, and what the program participants are doing during which parts of the program. Resources · the finished resources to train and undertake the program for the both the trainer and the trainees. Minimum Requirements: (a - f) a) instructions for the trainer regarding what he/she should be doing, when, how and why b) powerpoint slides for the program c) a handout for the trainees to take away from the session d) details of / resources for learning activities e) resources to assess learning activities f) a resource to evaluate program outcomes after the program back in the workplace Learning Technologies · overview of the learning technologies (if any) that are being used in the program and how they are being used Learning Theories · discussion (minimum 500 words) of the applicable learning theories used in the program, including when and how they are used in which parts of the program Rationale This assessment is designed to foster reflective thinking and collaborative professional engagement. This assessment task covers topics 6 - 12. The assessment builds on what was learned during topics 1 - 5, and assessment item 2. Whilst topic selection is open, one of topics 13 - 14 may potentially serve as a possible focus area of the training program you wish to develop, although this is not mandatory. Alternatively you may choose to develop a training program related to the skill development need that you have already identified in assessment item 2. This assessment has been designed to ensure that you are engaging with the subject content and with other relevant professional organisations in your sphere of interest. More specifically it seeks to assess your ability to: - recommend suitable learning theories that can be utilised in specific organisational environments - design and evaluate a training and development program for a specific organisational context - contextualise evolving directions of training and development within Australian organisational contexts, including emerging best practices
