The student will utilize the sub-culture checklist subculture.png and Benesh's Exegeting The City as a means of identifying at least five sub-cultures within their respective community. After identifying the five sub-cultures of the student's community, the student will incorporate the concepts of "Anchor Trades" and "Shared Spaces" (Church Planting by Making Disciple-Makers) to develop an effective missional church planting strategy.
The five sub-cultures checklist (1) shopping malls, (2) hair stylists, (3) gym enthusiasts, (4) beach, and (5) Football Fans & Players.
The church planting strategy should be (1) adaptable, (2) identify the sub-cultural audience(s) the potential planter is attempting to reach, (3) acknowledge what methods the planter will utilize to reach the community, (4) note difficulties and expected obstacles, (5) how the planter's yield to the Holy Spirit for guidance will be incorporated, and (6) accomplish the Great Commission (gathering, making disciple-makers, mission).
