Hope Depot has decided to hire your team to develop a WBS for this project. You have attended several meetings and you've identified that the scope will start by creating awareness for both customers and employees. A media agency will be hired to work on creating an awareness campaign, getting approval from Home Depot and implementing the campaign. In your meetings you've identified that the media agency suggests that they will create information brochure explaining why a recall is taking place. This will be circulated using electronic media as well as print media. 

Hope Depot also wants to set up a small organization dedicated to manage the returns. The returns are expected to take four weeks approximately. HR department will provide the related human resources for four weeks. Operations team will install sign which will be direct customers to counter (new counters installed by Operations team) where all returns will be processed. Once customer will bring in the product, staff at the counter will:

  1. Record the serial number of the fan.
  2. Process the refund to the card which was used to pay for the fan. 
  3. If the card from point # 2 is not available a gift voucher will be processed. 
  4. Staff member at the counter will take the fan and place it in the dedicated area in the storeroom located just behind the counter. 

Collection Teams from manufacturer will come and collect the fans at the end of each week and issue a "collection note" to one of the staff members from the dedicated team at Home Depo. Once the collection note is updated in the system the process will be completed.
