Develop a unique project scenario with your team to solve a problem in one of the above areas and provide the following requirements based on the approved scenario.
Describe the company, problem, and your proposed IT solution.
Using a mind mapping software create a mind map of a SWOT analysis for the project, including at least two strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Develop project charter.
Document your approach for collecting requirements for the project. Include at least five technical requirements and five non-technical requirements in a requirements traceability matrix.
Develop a Cause-and-effect diagram to understand possible causes of the problem and identify areas for improvement.
Identify at least 5 milestones covers the main functions that the project provides.
Using Microsoft Project, or any similar tool, to develop a project plan and draw a Gantt chart organized by the five project management process groups showing the task name and the duration of each task for the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to Level 3 or Level 4, as appropriate. Be sure the WBS is based on the project charter, the project scope statement, and other relevant information.
Define your strategy for monitoring and controlling the flow of the project.
Define your strategy for mitigating the potential risks.
Make the necessary assumptions for the estimated costs, benefits and discount rate over three years. Then, Perform a financial analysis (NPV, ROI and Payback) for the project.
