GROUP ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION
The following is the basis for your assignment and presentation. The final word count is 3000 words and excludes references
• You are to use two of the countries(GEORGIA and BELIZE) that you used in your individual assignment and compare the two countries(Belize and Georgia) and decide which one is the more attractive country to start your business.
• Stick to the countriesthat assign to you.
ASSIGNMENT BRIEF
In your individual assignment - you were a member of the Board of an Australian Company and you were preparing to open an office in that country. Now that you have opened the office you need to decide which Australian company and product or service you will develop in this target country and plan for how you are going to do it.
Relevant issues to discuss include the following:
1. Identify a company with products or services that you would like to market in this country. Identify the specific rationale that makes your idea a viable business opportunity (Use the VRIO Framework). You may want to consider even outsourcing some of the processes to a foreign country.
2. Identify the distinctive features of doing business in the two target countries (e.g., demographics, economic conditions, competition, political/legal forces, cultural forces, etc.) and conduct a Risk Assessment that describes the various risk factors associated with doing business in each of these countries (e.g., political risk, currency risk, economic risk, property rights risk, etc.). Compare the two countries and determine which country is more attractive for your company to do business in.
3. Develop a Target Country Entry Strategy to enter the country of choice (e.g., exporting, piggybacking, counter trade, foreign production, etc.) considering the risks identified.
4. Develop a brief Target Country Entry Plan (what will you do in the first 2 years of operation?) that considers the risks and opportunities previously identified.

III. Introduction- Purpose of Report; Brief explanation of product and target country
IV. The Company- Explanation of the company and goods or service that you will provide (VRIO framework)
V. Target Countries- distinctive features of doing business and the risks identified for each country
VI. Entry Strategy - how you will enter and justification
VII. Entry Plan - what are your targets in the first 2 years of operation? How will you capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks?
VIII. Conclusion - brief summary of the key points of your entry strategy and plan
IX. References - list of references used to research the report
PRESENTATION DETAILS
Presentation length: No more than 10 minutes plus 3 minutes to set up in-class presentation. Nine (9) slides maximum.

RESEARCH
The research should be based on real and current data relating to the chosen industry gained from a variety of sources. The analysis must show a clear understanding of the import/export market and planning to enter a country.It must be supported with relevant references from the literature.
