Many times, organizations utilized an object-oriented project management process to develop a software application. The ability for this approach to evaluate and synthesize the business requirements in a real-world fashion is a benefit to encourage the business user or customer to be involved in the software development process. There is better communication between the user community and the technology developers. A use-case diagram is an extension of taking the requirements during the object-oriented approach and shifting it to the object-oriented programming stage.

In that light, you work for a small credit union organization as a systems analyst. Your organization used to outsource the ATM process to a national grocery store chain and now wants to bring it in-house. You are asked by the Information Technology Steering Committee to build a use-case diagram for the ATM process at your organization and present it. In a narrated presentation, you will need to do the following.

• Introduce the need for the in-house ATM process and include a screenshot of the use-case diagram created in Microsoft Visio.
• Explain each actor and how they interact with each use-case. There are at least three actors that interact with the ATM process: the credit union customer, the ATM technician, and the credit union financial systems. The ATM system should be able to process normal maintenance and repairs by the ATM technicians. The credit union customers should be able to check balances, deposit cash or checks, transfer funds, withdraw cash, and make loan payments.
• Explain each business process as it is handled by the ATM for the new ATM system.
• Provide any recommendations or conclusions as you complete the use-case diagramming.
