Develop a Smart City Strategy and supporting proof of concept online platform for sharing data.

Individual Report - Your local council would like a smart city strategy for which one of the pillars it the democratisation of spatial data to the community and local businesses. Your task is threefold:

I) To develop a smart city strategy with a focus on an online platform for sharing data across the municipality.

II) To construct a Mock-up of the online digital platform (datastores & dashboards) to demonstrate to key internal stakeholders within Council.

III) Develop a set of data governance rules that underpin the online digital platform including data release and protection.

In undertaking task 1 you will conduct a best practice review of smart city strategies with a focus on strategies and digital platforms which have been implemented by other Councils and similar agencies. You will produce a report that will include a technical assessment of available online platforms including data portals and dashboards with an implementation plan (roadmap) for implementation.

To further support the communication of your smart city strategy to Council Executive you will develop a mock-up online platform (task 2) to support open data, data sharing specifically relevant to the Council, Community and Local Businesses.

Finally, you will write up a set of data governance rules which will support the operationalisation of your online digital platform (task 3).
