BSBINN601 Lead and manage organisational change
You must develop, for a business organisation, a change process that provides appropriate benefits for the organisation. You need to show that you can initiate, manage and implement change procedures in a work organisation.
1. Describe the business organisation and its core business.
2. Explain where you will make changes and why.
3. What information did you gather and analyse when identifying the changes that need to be made?
4. From what sources did it come?
5. Outline the rationale for the change, the change objectives, the procedures to be followed and the expected benefits of the change.
6. How will you manage, resource and implement the change?
7. What reporting, monitoring and review protocols will you follow?
Develop, document and present a completed change management project plan. Answer all of the questions and submit the plan and your answers.
If you are not working develop a scenario for a fictional business. Describe the business and what it does then address the assessment project questions. The business could be a private or a not-for-profit organisation.
Alternative assessment
If you are currently employed in a position where you are able to implement organisational change, to assist with assessment, and if you can verify that these are entirely your own work, you might submit any of the following:
o written reports on change and change management in the organisation for which you work
o a portfolio of evidence showing that you can plan changes, conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses and communicate change requirements to others
o third party workplace reports of on-the-job performance
o performance review results
o written reviews relating to changes that you have prepared and implemented
o change management project plans that you have developed or actively participated in developing
o communication or education plans that you have developed or actively participated in the development of and that will support change management
o records outlining consultation with relevant groups and individuals for input to change processes
o records of presentations made to stakeholders to inform them of impending changes or to ensure ongoing support for change procedures
Your assessor will determine how well this documentation meets the assessment requirements and will ask you a series of verbal questions relating to the documentation and the organisation for which you work. The assessor will document your responses to any verbal questions.
