Assignment: Learning Strategy: Needs Analysis

Purpose

In this paper you will follow the needs analysis process to develop a report on a learning need of an organization. For this assignment, you can use your current employer, a previous employer, or any organization with which you are very familiar, for your analysis.

How to Proceed

1. Identify a problem or concern in the organization which could be addressed through employee training. You may want to select one of the training programs described in Chapter 13 in the text.

2. Prepare a report of 750-1,000 words (3-4 double spaced pages), including the following sections:
a. Briefly describe the organization and its purpose;
b. Explain the concern or problem that the training would address and why it is important to the organization;
c. List the key stakeholder groups who should be involved in the analysis and what information they could contribute;
d. Select a Needs Analysis Method and explain why you would use this method for your analysis; and
e. Write a training objective that describes what employees would be able to do at the end of the training program.

Your paper should be double-spaced and should include a title and your full name.

Use APA reference style to reference any external sources or work that is not your own.
