Assessment Overview
The aim of this assessment is to develop a report on a contemporary or emerging IT technological concept chosen by the student. This assessment requires the student to assume the role of a consultant for a small or medium size organization. Students should first engage in reviewing literature and industry practices for the chosen area. Students are required to review the developments, trends, opportunities and barriers for a chosen technological implementation or the concept, and then develop a consultation report with their recommendations and best practices.

Assessment Details:

Choose one of the following areas to focus on for the consultation report. Assuming that you have received a request for consultation from an organization regarding one of these areas, you will conduct thorough research by consulting pertinent scholarly sources, including journal articles, conference papers, and textbooks. In this report you are required to review the developments, trends, opportunities and barriers for a chosen technological implementation or the concept, and then develop a consultation report with the recommendations and best practices.

Identify at least 10 recent scholarly articles related to your chosen focus area. Assignment is of two parts. First section comprises of reviewing the findings and develop the consultation report. The second section requires to present a summary of your findings in a 3 min presentation.

Consultation report structure should be as follows:

In this section, you need to indicate a brief description of your chosen focus area. Discuss the objective of the consultation report and provide an outline of the structure of your document. Introduce the terminologies and definitions associated.
Technological Analysis
Discuss the chosen technological implementation and its relevance to the modern Industry. Elaborate key features and capabilities of the technology you are analyzing. Further, document a comparison with alternative technologies.
Recent developments and trends
Discuss the recent technological advancements, market trends and consumer preferences.
Opportunities and Challenges
Discuss how the technology area of your choice creates opportunities to formulate effective business solutions for organizations. Also identify the challenges associated.
Ethical, privacy and governance concerns
Discuss how the chosen technology impacts the ethical, privacy and governance concerns of the stakeholders.
Recommendations and best practices
Summarize the recommendations and propose the best practices.
Documentation and References
Provide all the in text citations and references in APA 7 format.

Presentation Details:
Create a summary presentation that effectively communicates the main points of the consultation report within a 3-minute time limit.
Students may use a single slide, one-page poster, or one-page slide to assist their presentation, but it is not mandatory.
Focus on clarity, coherence, and conciseness in delivering the summary.
Expect the lecturer to raise critical thinking questions during the presentation related to your consultation report.
Students should be prepared to address these questions thoughtfully and provide evidence-based responses.
