Project
Instructions:
Form the project team: No more than five members will be in one team. The team members should select one member as a team leader. The team leader will be responsible for the coordination among all team members. The participation of all membersis a must.
- Project Presentation: The final project will be presented by all team members. Power point presentation should be prepared. The members should respond to the instructor's or students'questions.
The Research Proposal
Prior to starting any research project, researcher/ students must go through the proposal stage. During the proposal stage, students should discuss their research interests, identify a research topic, conduct preliminary literature review, and develop a project proposal. The proposal should discuss problem statement, objectives, research methodology, research activities, data collection instrument and a time schedule.
Introduction and research topic
An introductory section:
in which you discuss the general field of business administration from which your research is to be drawn
in which you explain the particular domain on which you will focus.
Background or introduction section provides a description of the basic facts and importance of the research area
What is your research area?
The motivation of research
How important is it for the industry practice/knowledge advancement?
Project
Review of the Literature
provide a summary of previous related research on the research problem
their strength and weakness
a justification of your research
What is known/what has been done by others?
And, why your research is still necessary?
In this section, you should demonstrate some of the literature relevant to your topic.
You should outline existing knowledge and reference some of the writers who have contributed to this knowledge.
Be aware of using up-to-date knowledge and literature.
Research Objectives
In this section, you should explain what you are intending to achieve by conducting this research. There are several ways in which your research objectives can be established, as follows:
Problem Statements: An unsatisfactory set of conditions will have been identified and explained in detail. The problem statement provides a clear and concise description of the issues that need to be addressed - What is the specific problem in that research area that you will address (e.g. lack of understanding of a subject, low performance ...)?
Objectives or Questions: Objectives related to a set of aims or targets to be achieved through completion of the research. An alternative would be to pose the objectives as a set of research questions. Objectives provide a list of goals that will be achieved through the proposed research - What are the benefits/impact (e.g. better understanding, improved productivity ...) that will be generated if the research problem is answered?
Hypotheses: Several hypotheses may be established, and the overall aim of the research would be to test the actual nature of these relationships concerning the hypotheses.
Methodology
Research methodology defines the research methods and logic steps - What to do and how to solve the problem and achieve proposed objectives? This section should focus on how the research will be undertaken. It should organize into logical sections, including the proposed research methodology, Provide sufficient description of the
Research design used for the study.
Sampling technique with randomization method used, if applicable.
Develop data collections instrument (15 - 20 questionnaire, interviews...).
Conclusion
